NodeSchool Amsterdam

If you’re curious about Node and want to explore it further, this is the best way to do it.

On the 21st of June, there’ll be a number of NodeSchool events distributed across the globe: Sydney, Berlin, Costa Rica, Kiev, Oxford and now Amsterdam too. We’ll be running through two of the official NodeSchool workshops:

• Functional JavaScript: Learn fundamental functional programming features of JavaScript in vanilla ES5.

• Learn You The Node.js For Much Win!: Learn the basics of Node: asynchronous I/O and HTTP.

All are welcome. NodeSchool is designed specifically for developers with some JavaScript knowledge, but little or no experience with Node.js. This event will give you a solid start with Node.js and round-out your JavaScript skills. You’ll want to have some basic skills using the terminal to get started – if you’re not sure, try and get one of the workshops running on your machine before the event and we should be able to help you out with the rest.

If you’re an experienced Node developer, come participate as a mentor! Mentoring can be an incredibly fun and rewarding experience, and you may end up accidentally learning something yourself! Get in touch with us if you’re interested in helping out.
