Description

Join us for an evening of tech talks, football, food and drink in our partners Hudl’s offices. A big thank you to Hudl for sponsoring our meetup with food, drinks and venue. If you want to find out more about Hudl, please visit https://www.hudl.com

Abstract
Here at Hudl, we help teams win and players improve, by unlocking sporting data for them through our range of video analytics products. We work across 30 sports from elite to grass roots level, with a major focus on football, American football, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse. The video library is at the core of our product and it contains over 5million items. If you interested in hearing how one of our autonomous squads redesigned our video library using ElasticSearch to achieve lightning fast load times, please come along for the talk and some QA. We will then be showing the Juventus vs Spurs game, as it’s a big rivalry here in the office.

Rodolfo is one of our Engineering Tech leads, a specialist in GraphQL and currently the king of FIFA in the office.

John co-founded a video analytics company called Replay Analysis after completing his PhD at Loughborough. This was acquired by Hudl in 2014 and he is now one of our Engineering Directors here in London. He’s keen to quickly talk about our wider tech attitudes here at Hudl.
